Hi, my name is Shannon Hicks. I am reaching out in hopes of getting help for my friend, more of a sister, who has not and will not ask for help herself. Her name is Sharon McHenry Gillman. Many of you may know her from her many years of service at the Walton County Sheriff's Department. She has dedicated her life to helping others. However, she is now in need of some help for her own family.

After working from the time she was 13 years old, Sharon was forced to leave her job 4 years ago due to health problems. Her husband Jason Gillman became the sole provider for their home. Tragically, one year ago, Jason began experiencing strokes. Since December 2024, Jason has suffered multiple strokes that have led to a multitude of other health issues. This has led to Jason being out of work and basically bedridden for months.

Since May 5, 2025, Jason has been in the hospital 3 different times. In fact, he is currently in the hospital and scheduled to be transferred to a critical care hospital very soon. Jason has a very long road of recovery ahead of him, but Sharon and his whole family stand strong in faith for healing.
