Post for friends of Sharon LaSalle;
As some of you know, Sharon has been battling a neurodegenerative illness for the last two years. Many of us had no clue until last year when she let us know that it was looking like she had early onset dementia or Alzheimer’s. Since that text, we have tried to be a support for her and her son Alex as they face this devastating future. Watching her decline has been heartbreaking for us personally, and we can only imagine how hard this is for Alex.
Sharon currently has no income and no insurance as all her benefits from her job are now terminated. Alex worked diligently to support them, but the time has come where he can no longer work as it is not safe for Sharon to be alone, and he is the person she looks to for her daily needs. Alex is working with an attorney to get Sharon declared disabled and for him to be her conservator. For those unfamiliar with the process, it moves at a snail’s pace.
We say all this to explain our ask—they need help. One burden we, as Sharon’s friends, can alleviate is some of the financial strain. We humbly ask that you consider donating to them so that Alex has one less thing to worry about.
All of us are one word away from life-altering circumstances; we all need villages of love and support. Help us help them,
Frankie and Cheryl
