My name is Dee, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times my sister Sharon and I have ever faced. Not long ago, we lost our father unexpectedly, and the grief has been overwhelming. As we try to process this loss, we’re also facing another heartbreaking challenge: Sharon was diagnosed with stage four terminal colon cancer in 2021. Watching her fight every day is both inspiring and deeply painful, and I want nothing more than to give her some peace and stability during this time.
With our father gone, we’ve struggled to keep up with rent and utilities. The fear of losing our home on top of everything else has been almost too much to bear. This house means so much to us—it’s the last place our dad was, and it’s where we feel closest to him. The thought of losing it is incredibly hard to explain.
We’re doing everything we can to stay afloat, but we’ve reached a point where we need help from our community. Every donation or share helps us find a little breathing room and gives Sharon some comfort as she continues her fight. If you’re able, please consider supporting or sharing our story. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us, and we are so grateful for any help you can offer. Thank you for being part of our support system and for helping us hold onto hope.
