I am raising funds for my mother Shari Sanders who tragically passed away at the Annual Jazz Festival in Carson, California on October 3, 2026. Our family is devastated by this loss and is still trying to process what has happened.

Shari was the glue keeping this family together. She leaves behind 3 sons, 6 grandchildren, 2 bonus grandchildren, 2 brothers, a sister, nieces and nephews to whom she was like a mother too, her mother and father, and a host of cousins, friends, family and coworkers who loved her deeply.

Despite so much loss, Shari kept going. Her home of 35 years burned down in the Eaton Canyon fire in January 2025. Her house was only recently finished, and she did not get to enjoy it for a month.

During this painful time, no one is able to work or go to school because of grief and these responsibilities, and the bills usually go unpaid, which adds even more strain during an already painful time. The funds will help cover any future bills and support the needs of Shari’s mother and father.
