Shara Chapman, lovingly known as Mimi, is a cherished part of our family. She was diagnosed with stage 2b uterine Leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Less than a year ago, she lost her husband, and now she faces this new battle while working full time. Shara’s strength and love for her family—including her four children and grandchildren—are unwavering, but the financial burden of her diagnosis is overwhelming. Her insurance will not cover the treatment we are seeking, even though it is recognized within the medical community and has helped many others in similar situations.
Our family is doing everything we can to support Shara, but the costs are simply too great for us to manage alone. She may need to miss work during her treatment, and every dollar raised will go directly toward her care and help relieve the financial pressure she faces. We are hoping this treatment will heal her enough for surgery, giving her the best possible chance at recovery and more time with her loved ones.
Even with chemotherapy, doctors have said it may only give her two years, which is why we are pursuing this alternative route. We are deeply grateful for any support you can offer—your donation will help take some of the weight off Shara’s shoulders so she can focus on healing. Finances should be the last thing she has to worry about. By giving, you are supporting a woman who has always shown up for others, given selflessly, and worked hard for her family. Thank you for standing with Shara (Mimi) and our family during this difficult time.
