Our family is deeply heartbroken to share that Shaquille was tragically killed over false assumptions that he was romantically involved with a coworker. This accusation was completely untrue. Shaquille had no romantic relationship with her—only a professional one. He was simply doing his job, focusing on his goals, and trying to live a good, honest life.

Shaquille was a son, stepson, grandson, cousin, brother, and nephew—and soon to be a father. He was excited and proud to be preparing for fatherhood, ready to step into a new chapter of responsibility and love. That dream was stolen from him and from our entire family.

Shaquille had a deep and unwavering bond with his family. He loved hard. He laughed loud. He was a bright, charismatic young man whose presence could soften even the toughest days. His nieces and nephews adored him, and he cherished every moment with them. He was consistently working hard to grow, learn, and provide for himself and those he loved.

On December 1st, Shaquille’s life was taken as he arrived at Little Caesars Pizza to prepare for his morning shift. He was an innocent victim—killed because someone chose accusations over truth, anger over understanding, and violence over healing. Shaquille did absolutely nothing wrong. He was simply getting ready to start his workday and trying to live a meaningful, honest life.

Our family is navigating a pain beyond words. We lost a young man full of promise, love, and kindness. We lost someone who was working every day to build a stronger future. His absence has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.
