Advocating to help my mom fight stage 4 Cervical Cancer

My name is Zakia, and my mom is the strongest person I know. But now, she's facing one of the toughest battles of her life as she’s been diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer on July 24, 2024. As she begins her chemotherapy treatments which is expected to last approximately 6-8 months, the upcoming costs of maintaining housing and any unexpected medical bills are already overwhelming.

Not only is my mom fighting this devastating disease, but she is also still raising my 13-year-old brother during this incredibly challenging time. She’s doing everything she can to stay strong for him and maintain her independence, but the burden is immense. Hence, why I’d like to try and help remove some of this worry from her plate so she can focus on getting better.

The funds raised will go directly towards her medical expenses—chemotherapy, medications, doctor's visits—and helping her maintain a safe and comfortable home for herself and my brother.
