On Friday, August 22, 2025, our family experienced an unimaginable tragedy in the sudden passing of Shanta Booker. A loving mother, sister, daughter, cousin, and friend; words cannot express the loss we face in Shanta’s death. Shanta was too young, and losing her in this way feels unreal.

Shanta was a devoted mother to her children, Imani and Joseph. She was the kind of person who filled every room with good food and good laughter. Shanta loved her family more than anything in this world, and her life ended far too soon. We’re left with a void in our hearts that can never be replaced.

As we face this heartbreaking loss, we are asking for support to help cover her funeral expenses and give her the dignified farewell she deserves. Proceeds will also go to care for Shanta’s children. No one ever expects to lose someone so suddenly, and our family was unprepared for this tragedy.
