Hi, my name is Shanta’ Black, some of you may know me as Shay LaShaye or Chef Black. I’m a hardworking single mother of two wonderful young adults, from Dorchester SC with a dream that’s been simmering for years: owning my own food truck or small take-out restaurant.

I’ve poured my heart into building my small business from the ground up. It’s not always easy balancing work and motherhood, but cooking and baking have always been my passion—and my purpose. The love and support from my customers have been incredible, and now I’m ready to take the next big step: expanding my business to reach more people and more cities, even states.
