My name is Shanon, and I am facing aggressive Triple Negative Metastatic Breast Cancer, which has spread to my legs, hips, ribs, sternum, and spine—though, luckily, thank goodness, my spinal cord has been safe and continues to be out of harm. This type of cancer is especially challenging, with fewer treatment plans available, and it has turned our world upside down. I have been unable to work, and my fiancé, Justin, has been paying my regular life bills as well as the out of pocket deductible for medical bills. We are overwhelmed financially and emotionally by the strain.

On top of the medical bills, we need to move to a new home without stairs because I am currently having trouble climbing stairs due to my treatments, and I’m not sure what the future progression of this will be. Right now, three flights of stairs are required just to enter and exit my current home, and the doctors are worried about what would happen if I have falls, so finding a safer home is urgent for my health.

I'm setting up this GoFundMe to hopefully take the burden off of Justin and help us catch up on bills, secure a safer home, and prepare for whatever comes next—whether that means continuing treatment for years or, if the worst happens, making sure my family is cared for.
