Chain Reaction: Ride Across America Fundraiser
As I turn 60, I’m embarking on an incredible journey—riding my bike from San Francisco to Washington D.C. This ride, spanning over 3,000 miles, isn't just a personal milestone; it’s a mission to raise $100,000 to build a much-needed school in a rural village in Meghalaya, India, my homeland.
⭐Why This Matters
In the remote village where we plan to build, there is no school within a 20 km radius. Most families in the area live below the poverty line and cannot afford vehicles. If they manage to gather enough money, they send their children to distant boarding schools, separating them from their families at a very young age. This journey aims to change that.
⭐Our Vision
We aim to bring education directly to these children, ensuring they can stay with their families while learning and growing. The school will provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can receive quality education without leaving their community.
⭐How You Can Help
We already have the property and have begun the initial stages of construction. However, building a school from the ground up is a massive undertaking. Funds raised through this campaign will be used for:
- Construction: Building classrooms, power infrastructure, sewage systems, and setting up Wi-Fi.
- Staff Support: Providing stipends for dedicated staff members who are giving back to the community after completing their education through the Fanwar Faith Inc Sponsorship. These individuals are passionate about making a difference and are excited to serve their community.
