Our very best friend, Shannon Stewart, unexpectedly collapsed at work yesterday and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. It was found that her heart went into v-fib; they had to use a defibrillator, she has had multiple seizures, and is now still facing irregular heart rhythms along with the uncertainty of damage caused to her heart and brain while in v-fib. Shannon has been admitted into the ICU and is currently on a ventilator and in a medically induced coma while we do more testing and wait for answers. Her doctors and nurses have been fantastic, and we are very grateful for the care she is receiving at McLaren Hospital!

It is still unknown as to what underlying issue may have caused this, but for now, a week until Christmas, with two young children, and a terrified fiancée who just wants her to be ok, we need your help. Josh, her fiancée, is trying to be there for their kids and for her but also facing the reality of life that keeps happening when they’re experiencing this unimaginable situation.
