Prayers and Support needed for Shannon

Hello, my name is Lynn Rimes, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to read and help by dear friend Shannon and her family.

June/July 2024 after many trips to the Dr.’s office in Dothan, Al. With no answers to her health concerns. Shannon made an appointment in Houston, Tx at MD Anderson. There she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer, it had metastasized to the liver and stomach lining.

August 2024 she began chemotherapy. With a follow up appointment in October in Houston, TX with more chemotherapy. Follow up appointment in December to check her markers. At that appointment they gave her the only option of surgery.

It will be an 8 hour long surgery with three different Doctors and three different operations. After coordinating all three of the Doctors schedules together they gave her a surgery appointment of March 19. Still going through chemotherapy at this time with three more rounds to go.

The financial burden is heavy with the expenses of three previous trips to Texas, weekley trips to Dothan for chemotherapy. Shannon and Ralph will be in Houston, TX for a month. With pre-op, surgery and recovery. Out of work with household expenses still coming in, along with travel and housing expenses to stay at least a month in Texas.

If any of you feel moved to offer financial support to cover the cost of their transportation, missing income, Co-pays, their stay in Texas, It would help more than you know. Please keep them in your prayers along with their family. We love them dearly. If you know Shannon you know there is nothing she wouldn’t do for you and she will definitely cook you a meal. Anything to help will be appreciated. God is in control.
