I'm Shannon B. I'm 42 & was unfortunately born with a genetic blood disease called Sickle Cell.. As you can see from the pics I spend quite a bit of time in the hospital..because of this disease.. I suffer from chronic pain & these days it's an every day thing..as the disease gets worse as I age.. I receive blood transfusions at least once a month & I've been going through it my entire life.. I was placed on hospice care then switched to palliative care because of how bad it's gotten.. I've been on medicaid since I was about 16..because I'm legally disabled & with all the time I spend in pain & in the hospital I'm unable to work.. Recently my medicaid was taken from me & with it went my ability to have palliative care & also it has caused me to not be able to go to my Hematologist or get my meds either.. Since I suffer from chronic pain this is a problem & I also have to take blood thinners everyday..which I can't afford either.. I'm trying to raise money to be able to afford to see my doctor as well as get my meds..they're so expensive & I live off of my disability check.. I really need a miracle
