Support Shannon's Fight Against Rare and Complex Brain Tumor
Donation protected
Update 11/19:
Shannon underwent a successful 8 hour surgery on Monday, 11/18, in which the tumor was almost completely removed. The surgeon is hopeful that the remaining portion will dissipate over time and Shannon will continue to be monitored. The surgeon came into Shannon's room this morning and was blown away by the progress that Shannon has made thus far. She will be downgraded to a step-down unit hopefully later today and will continue working with PT and OT. Continued updates will be posted on Shannon's Caringbridge page which can be found at this link:

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support!
I am reaching out to share the story of our deeply loved Shannon, who has recently been diagnosed with a large, rare brain tumor called a Vestibular Schwannoma. In the upcoming weeks, Shannon will undergo a complex craniotomy and tumor resection performed by a team of specialists, in an effort to remove this tumor. Given the tumor's size and location, invading her brainstem and pressing on vital nerves, the intricacy of this surgery is heightened. This diagnosis comes as a shock, not only because of the complexity of this condition, but also as Shannon is a devoted mother to her precious 6-month-old daughter, Harper.
Shannon will face a challenging road ahead, including the complete loss of hearing in her left ear, potential facial paralysis, and a lengthy recovery process. Shannon may require additional surgeries or treatments in the future, which will add to her emotional and financial burden during this difficult time.
We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to help support Shannon and her husband Tyler as they navigate these challenges. Your contributions will assist with medical expenses, travel costs, everyday living costs, and childcare support while Shannon focuses on her recovery.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and bring Shannon one step closer to healing. We appreciate your generosity and support during this time. Thank you for standing by Shannon and her family.
If you would like to contribute to Shannon's recovery in a different way, Shannon's friend Brooke has set-up a meal train for anybody who is interested. Below is the link:
With gratitude.
