Shannon is one of a kind. She is the light in this world that everyone needs, and a friend that everyone should have in their life. Her life turned upside down when she was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematous March 12, 2024. This is an auto immune disease that not only alters your body, but is a devil inside that wreaks havoc on just about anything- muscles, joints, and organs. In February of 2025, Shannon had a full hysterectomy that led to several complications because of the lupus. The lupus has now attacked her eyes, skin, spine, bladder, GI tract, heart, and now her brain. She has had 6 surgeries and 2 hospital stays since November 2024. Shannon’s 7th surgery will be September 15th on her brain. She is having a craniectomy to remove C1/C2 vertebrae to relieve swelling and pressure from her brain. She is dealing with constant doctors, is on 16 medications, blood tests, PET scans, MRI scans, and X-rays.
