Support Shannon's Fight Against ALS
Donation protected
After struggling with symptoms for a year, Shannon has recently been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS is an unforgiving disease that relentlessly robs individuals of their ability to move, speak, and eventually breathe. While there is currently no cure, we are determined to do everything we can to provide Shannon with the best possible care and quality of life. She was diagnosed with a very rare genetic form that has the most recent developments in treatment. However, she is currently without the use of her left leg. She has been forced to adapt to life in a wheelchair all while still juggling her roles as a wife, mother, and professional.
How You Can Help!
Medical Expenses: ALS requires specialized care, including regular visits to neurologists, physical and occupational therapy, and expensive medications that can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
Home Modifications: To ensure Shannon can continue to live at home with dignity and comfort, we need to make significant modifications. These include installing wheelchair ramps, stairlifts, and accessible bathroom facilities.
Assistive Devices: ALS often leads to a loss of mobility and communication abilities. We need funds to purchase wheelchairs, communication devices, and other assistive technologies to help Shannon maintain independence for as long as possible.
Every contribution counts and every bit of support makes a tremendous difference. Whether you can contribute financially or simply share our campaign with your network, your kindness will help lighten the burden we are carrying.
