My name is Shannon. I live in a small town upstate New York where in September my life completely changed. I lost my job as an operations coordinator with FedEx and had to start collecting unemployment. I make $343 a week after taxes on unemployment my rent is $1000 a month Car insurance is 160. I haven’t paid my cell phone bill because I have to eat. I applied to snap to get food stamps and they told me I make too much. I ended up meeting a guy who unfortunately began to physically abuse me and I have since had him leave. I am by myself. I’m hopefully starting a new job in a couple of weeks, but my bills are just piling up and I have a shut off notice with NYSEG FOR $808. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I’M GONNA DO. I’M TRYING. I’M REACHING OUT FOR RESOURCES AND ALL I GET IS THEIR FUNDS ARE GONE SO I’M LOOKING TO ALL OF YOU TO HELP ME.
