Hello, Beautiful Souls,
I am reaching out for support as I navigate a challenging chapter in my life. In March 2022, my world turned upside down when I was diagnosed with Vocal Fold Paresis/Paralysis, a condition that significantly impacts my ability to communicate due to incomplete closure of the vocal folds. This condition not only affects my voice but also poses risks during swallowing. Despite numerous treatments, including speech therapy and medications, there has been little improvement.
My career, which heavily relies on my ability to communicate effectively, has been profoundly affected. Compounded by the demands of my job, including a Covid-19 vaccine mandate that led to my current predicament, I find myself in a difficult position. Despite my best efforts to explore all options, including seeking accommodations from my employer and applying for disability benefits, I have encountered numerous challenges.
Financial strain has added to my burdens, with mounting medical bills, housing insecurity, and basic needs like food becoming uncertain. Even basic necessities like my car and home appliances are failing, adding to the stress.
In the face of these challenges, I have remained resilient, exploring alternative healing modalities and seeking ways to maintain a positive outlook. My ultimate goal is to not only overcome these obstacles but also to use my experiences to help others facing similar struggles.
