My name is Shanna Dawn Franke, I suffered an ischemic stroke at the end of April 2024 where I was hospitalized and underwent some inpatient physical therapy to try and recovery the use of the left side of my body. I was released for outpatient therapy and have been living in southeast Texas with my sister as my caretaker and I’ve been working with my outpatient physical therapists as often as possible. Though I’ve been working to try and recover, my physical therapists agree that more intensive therapy on the inpatient level would benefit my recovery process Unfortunately the insurance I have currently does not cover inpatient stays, especially considering I may need to stay for a couple of weeks to a month or even more depending on the facility and my progress.
latest update: the medical coverage I had that was footing the bill for my outpatient physical therapy, doctors visits, and prescriptions for my insulin, and epilepsy medication has cut off services to me as I was recently in the hospital for a seizure and the bill they received put the budget they had allotted for me over the line so I’m now having to pay for my outpatient therapy and prescriptions out of pocket. I know the economy isn’t being kind to anyone right now and I hate to ask for help but if anyone can sharethis page so that I can continue going to physical therapy and affording my medication it’s greatly appreciated and I thank the support I’ve gotten thus far more than you can imagine.
Also thankful to whoever made GOODRX a thing so I can pay for my meds and keep moving day to day
Blessings on blessings always
