Support Shani's Fight for Safe Housing
Donation protected
Escaping abuse and endless hardships, a Black mother/ army veteran is enduring endless struggles.
Shani and her children left their hometown to find safety and sanction in Durham, NC.
Shani is a veteran and is battling lupus and neuropathy chronic pain. She was promised six months of free housing alongside a $1000 amazon gift card from her VA affairs office. However they have failed to hold up the end of their pledge to help sustain Shani and her children.
Now in a new city, with no food or furniture in their new home, Shani is in dire need of collective community care as she combats the negligence of her VA office that promised to take care of her.
With no medication to help combat her shaking and stinging pain all over her body, Shani continues to fight for her and her children's safety.
With your donations, we can help provide paying for Shani's housing alongside the important necessities a family needs to live safely.
Here is a short list of what your donations will go towards:
- housing while Shani waits for the VA
- utilities, including water and electricity and internet to keep their phones on
- car insurance and car registration and tag
- food and house essentials like kitchen ware and beddings
Shani and her beautiful children deserve peace and ease after escaping daily violence. Let's help keep her home! Please consider donating and sharing Shani's GFM! WE KEEP US SAFE!
