Hello,
My name is Nickesha and I'm raising funds to assist my family in Jamaica as they were heavily impacted by Hurricane Melissa.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, countless families across Jamaica have been left picking up the pieces of their lives. Among the hardest hit was Westmoreland, one of the parishes most devastated by the storm. Homes were flattened, roads washed out, and entire communities left in ruins.
Among those affected are my cousins, Shanique Hinds and Latoya Ramsay, two hardworking mothers from Red Hills, Westmoreland, who are now facing unimaginable hardship. Their homes were completely destroyed by the storm’s powerful winds and flooding. Roofs were ripped away, walls collapsed, and everything they owned—clothing, furniture, and cherished belongings—was destroyed.
Today, Shanique, Latoya, and their young children are sleeping outside on the ground, exposed to the elements, struggling to find shelter, food, and basic necessities. Despite their strength and resilience, the road ahead is long and uncertain.
This fundraiser was created to help them rebuild their homes and restore stability for their children. All donations will go directly toward:
• Building materials
• Temporary shelter
• Food, clean water, and cooking supplies
• Clothing and school supplies for the children
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a real difference. What might be a cup of coffee to one person could mean a warm meal or a night of safety for these families.
Please open your hearts and help Shanique, Latoya, and their children begin again. Together, we can show them that even in their darkest moment, they are not alone.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign to help spread their story and reach others who can lend support.
Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and prayers.
