Support Shaniqua & Amiyah’s Move to Safety and Peace

Hi, my name is Shaniqua and I’m a mother raising a beautiful 4-year-old daughter in South Carolina. I’ve never made a post like this before, but life has brought me to a moment where I have no choice but to ask for help and trust the power of community.
Recently, my landlord violated my rights multiple times by entering my home without proper notice, even allowing her son who is not on my lease to unlock and walk into my apartment without my consent. As a woman and a mother, this left me feeling completely unsafe and disrespected in my own home.
I calmly and respectfully expressed my rights as a tenant under South Carolina law. The next day, I received a 30-day notice to vacate. I was not behind on rent. I didn’t cause any problems. I simply asked for boundaries and I’m now facing retaliation for standing up for myself.
I’ve decided to move forward, both literally and emotionally. I’m choosing to leave this situation with dignity and grace. But this transition is not easy. I’m working, raising my daughter, and trying to hold it all together but the cost of relocation, basic needs, and emotional support is more than I can manage alone.
I’m asking for any amount even $1 to help us move into a safe, peaceful space.
Your kindness will go toward:
• First month’s rent and security deposit
• Basic furniture and household needs
• Food, childcare, and utilities during this transition
• Legal support as I continue to pursue justice
If you’re unable to donate, your shares, prayers, and kind words mean everything to me.
Thank you for holding space for me and my daughter in this moment.
With love and gratitude,
Shaniqua
