Life has thrown a significant challenge our way, and we're reaching out for your support. Shane was having headaches and dizziness and forgetting things, he was taken to HCA hospital on 3/8 and was diagnosed with a tumor in the bottom center of his brain ( a very difficult spot to get to ) and was retaining spinal fluid in his head. on 3/11 HCA discharged him after informing us they did not have the correct resources to perform his surgery and that we wouldnt have much time to get it figured out. After being home for 2 hours shane was rushed to shands in an ambulance because his heart rate and blood pressure was very low. Shands found his brain was retaining way too much fluid causing pressure and swelling in his ventricales , they put a drain in to relieve the fluid and he was stable after. Today is 3/18 and Shane is now undergoing major surgery to remove a tumor from a difficult spot in his brain. He will have a long road to recovery and journey ahead will be undoubtedly challenging. Shane is a devoted father to three small children, and this situation impacts his entire household. We're hoping to raise funds to help alleviate the financial strain of bills,groceries and medical needs during this critical time, allowing him to focus on healing as he could be out of work for atleast 6 months.
