Years of dysphoria, discomfort, and hiding myself away from mirrors, summer heat, and even simple moments like getting dressed or being photographed. It’s exhausting in ways that are hard to explain. But if you’ve ever had to fight to be seen for who you are, you probably get it.

This surgery is about finally breathing without that weight on my chest—literally and emotionally. It’s about feeling peace in my skin, showing up more confidently in the world, and not flinching when I catch my reflection. It’s about healing. Not just scars, but the years of quiet hurt that built up every time I felt like my body was betraying me.

I’ve been working hard on my weight loss journey to meet the health requirements for surgery. It hasn’t been easy, but every step I take brings me closer to this goal. I’m proud of how far I’ve come—but financially, I still need help to cross the finish line.

As someone who works from home due to epilepsy and other medical limitations, my income only goes so far. I’ve been doing everything I can, but I can’t do this alone.
