Hello! My name is Sabrina Murphy and I am raising funds on behalf of my younger brother, Shane Murphy. This coming April, Shane qualified to play in the National Drive, Chip, and Putt Golf tournament the Sunday before the Masters at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. This is a huge deal for our family, and I put together this GoFundMe in order to help cover costs for accommodation (which is extremely expensive during Masters Week), airfare, and other miscellaneous expenses. We are all so excited to support Shane in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Shane's Journey to Augusta:

Shane has been participating in the Drive, Chip, and Putt qualifiers since he was 7 years old. For the past 9 years, he has tried out every year and made it past the local qualifier on Kauai, but has never made it through the sub-regional qualifier on Oahu.

At the end of May 2025, Shane participated in his last Drive, Chip, and Putt qualifier for the Boys 14-15 Division. He took first place in the Local Qualifier at the Ocean Course at Hokuala on Kauai. In July, he participated in the Sub-Regional Qualifier at Kapolei Golf Club on Oahu, where he took second place overall, allowing him to continue on to the Regional Qualifier. In October, Shane advanced to the West Coast Regional Qualifier, where he competed against the Sub-Regional winners from California, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Australia. Shane won first place in the Regional Qualifier, cementing his spot in the National Drive, Chip, and Putt Tournament the Sunday before the Masters at Augusta, where he will represent Hawaii and compete against the top 9 other boys from across the United States.

Shane continues to practice his game during the high school golf season where he represents Kauai High School in the Starting Five. He is so excited about this opportunity and to hopefully continue his golf journey into a D1 college.
