Support Shane's Fight Against Rare Cancer
Donation protected
In March 2024, Shane received devastating news. After a biopsy, doctors discovered he had a very rare type of cancer. He was referred to a specialist at Moffitt Cancer Center, where it was determined that the tumor needed to be removed. Initially, they decided to try radiation therapy.
Sadly, the radiation was unsuccessful. Shane then underwent surgery, and while they managed to remove the tumor, it was later discovered that the cancer had spread to other parts of his body. He underwent radiation for his back, which provided some relief, but the deterioration of his spine resulted in an emergency procedure.
To prevent the spread of the cancer, Shane is now in his third round of chemotherapy. This rare cancer has not responded to traditional treatments as doctors had hoped. The medical team is uncertain if the next options will be effective, which is why the Foster Family is seeking alternative treatments that might offer hope.
Shane is now facing the next chapter of his treatment journey. The purpose of this fundraiser is to help the Foster Family explore other medical options that could help Shane fight this rare cancer and save his life.
If you’re able to contribute, no matter the amount, it will make a huge difference. Even just sharing the link with others will be an incredible help.
Thank you for taking the time to read Shane's story. Your support is greatly appreciated.
