My name is Shanelle Lawrence. I grew up in a small community called Darliston in the parish of Westmoreland, located on the beautiful island of Jamaica.

On the 28th of October 2025, Jamaica came face to face with Melissa, a catastrophic Category 5 hurricane that left many homeless, including my family and friends. This is beyond anything I have ever seen. With your help, I am hoping to aid in fixing or rebuilding as best as possible.

Everything that we knew our entire lives was completely wiped out, all our childhood memories gone, but I am grateful for life because once there is life, there is hope. I am grateful that I still can speak with my family and even create new memories.
