Hello, my name is Shanell Wolfe. I am originally from Westmoreland, Jamaica, and I now live in Georgia, USA.
On October 28, 2025, Category 5 Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica and caused unimaginable destruction. The eye of the storm passed directly over Westmoreland, leaving many people — including my family, friends, and neighbors — completely devastated.
We have lost everything: homes, clothes, food, and basic necessities. My sister, brother, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncle, cousins and other relatives are now left with nothing, and my own home in Jamaica has also been badly damaged. Sadly, some people in the community lost their lives, and the entire island is struggling to recover from this disaster.
Even though I now live in Georgia, my heart and roots are still in Jamaica. It has been more than 48 hours since the storm and I haven’t been able to reach some of my relatives which is very frustrating and traumatizing. I am raising these funds to help my loved ones and others in my community rebuild their lives after losing everything.
How the Funds Will Be Used
Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
• Temporary housing and shelter for displaced families
• Food, clean water, and basic survival supplies
• Clothing and personal care items
• Medical supplies and assistance for those injured or in poor health
• Repairs and rebuilding materials for damaged and destroyed homes
Your support — whether through a donation or by sharing this campaign — means the world to us. Together, we can help bring hope, comfort, and stability back to families who have lost everything.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and prayers during this heartbreaking time.
With love and gratitude,
Shanell Wolfe
