Hi, my name is Renee and I am asking for support for my brother-in-law, Shane Wheeler. If you know Shane, you know the fun-loving, boat-racing, volleyball-playing, willing-to-give-you-the-shirt-off-his-back kind of guy that he is! On October 20, 2023, Shane suffered a massive stroke. He has been in the hospital and acute rehab for the past several months. He is now coming home. Shane continues to have extensive, ongoing medical needs that are not covered by his insurance. These include transportation for doctor's visits (i.e. ambulance), medical equipment (i.e. hospital bed), and supplies (i.e. special diet). Since Shane is not working, and Carol will be his full-time caregiver, these ongoing out-of-pocket expenses are beyond their monthly budget. We appreciate any help you can give.
