Support Shane O'Neill Sr's Cremation and Celebration

Hello everyone! I would like to update everyone that we have reached our goal!! I cannot thank you enough. We will be doing a celebration of life after the first of the year. Of course it will posted for everyone to see. I wanted to give a huge thank you for all the donations that came through go fund me and privately given to me.

And anyone else I may have missed. We all loved Shane and I couldn’t be more grateful for such a great group of friends!!

We lost a great man on Monday, November 11th. Shane O’Neill Sr was a friend to everyone. Great story teller, always was laughing and one of the most generous people I have had the pleasure to be around. He was a friend of my family’s for many many years. A member of this community and has way more friends than I realized. Since he fully retired he became a staple at my place of work in my families restaurant. He sat everyday at the end of the bar. He wasn’t there to just be there, it was to be with family. We all weren’t blood but we may as well have been. As each week went by that he came in fewer days I could feel my heart hurting as I know his COPD was his enemy. And just like that, as quickly as can be, he was gone. As a community we are asking for help to reach the basic cost of the cremation and a celebration of life that will take place after the first of the year. He would definitely want us to celebrate him. A party for him is exactly what would have made him happy. If you are not comfortable donating online, I can be reached at Wickiup Station Sports Pub in Lapine, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. I will have an envelope specifically for this. He loved everyone so much and always had an encouraging word. Especially since he found out about Facebook haha. We sure are going to miss him.
