On December 21st, my son-in-law, Shane Erickson, experienced a brain event called a Cavernoma. This raspberry-like cluster of thin-walled blood vessels bled, creating stroke-like symptoms. Shane is still in the hospital on this Christmas Eve at St. Luke’s Milwaukee and is slowly recovering. It will take time for the blood on his brain to dissipate and symptoms to lessen. Surgery to remove the Cavernoma is not recommended at this time.
Shane and Miranda have a long road of uncertainty in front of them. Shane will be unable to work for an undetermined amount of time, and the medical bills will be expensive. This young couple, that just celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary, could use any help possible.
