Cancer Sucks!!!

Shane Akin is a top notch, self-employed, fishing guide in the Iowa Great Lakes region. Shane was recently diagnosed with cancer and the side effects of the chemo treatments has hindered not only what he loves to do, but has also directly affected his main source of income.

Guiding his clients, many of whom have become friends, is what drives Shane. His return clientele is a testament to how good he is – not only as a fishing expert, but as a man. So many of his customers return year after year just to share a boat with him. Anyone who has crossed paths with Shane knows that he has a big heart and he loves to teach others the art and skill of fishing…sometimes even giving away his secrets!

Shane is now in need of our help. This is a man who will give so much of his time to others without asking for anything in return. He probably would object to us making such a post, but this is our time to return the favor to him.
