As many of you know, Shana was diagnosed with a mass near her right optic nerve two and a half weeks ago, which has been affecting her vision and overall health. I’m Bonnie, Shana's mom and Grammy to her three teen boys, and I want to make this journey as gentle for Shana as I possibly can. After numerous consultations, it’s become clear that she needs to undergo a craniotomy to remove the mass and give her the best chance at recovery. Doctors are moving very quickly and her surgery has been scheduled for less than 3 weeks away.

Unfortunately, she has had to step away from her job to focus on her health and preparing for the surgery.

It is leaving her and her family without her income during a time when medical bills and other expenses are piling up.

She has been told that recovery time could be anywhere from two weeks to four months. Due to the nature of her job being seasonal (she usually works until the end of February), her boss has told her she will have to give up her job for the season and look to be hired again next September.

I want to do as much as I can to remove some of the bigger stressors in her life. We have some wonderful people stepping forward with food offerings for her freezer, gift cards for the local grocery store, time, prayers, good thoughts, etc. It would be nice if financially they didn't have to worry while she gets back on her feet.
