It is with a heavy heart that we (Jimmy, Kathy, and Bobby) learn our brother Shanan and our mom Georgia's son has been diagnosed with not one but two types of cancer in the past two weeks. On May 23rd, 2025, he had surgery on his leg and groin for the removal of melanoma and found that it had metastasized to his lymph system. Then he learned the following Wednesday, 5/28, that he had a very rare, aggressive, and poor prognosis anal cancer that has also metastasized to his rectum and colon.

I, Kathy, as the organizer, am reaching out to family, friends, and anyone that is able to help monetarily and with prayers too. Shanan is on disability and already financially limited, so your help and prayers will help tremendously with his medical bills, living expenses, and traveling expenses for treatment.

At the current time, he will undergo six weeks of chemotherapy and five weeks of radiation (five days a week). He currently lives in Seligman, AZ (very rural) and will travel to either Kingman Medical Cancer Center or here to Banner MDA Cancer Center.

Please say prayers for our momma too; it has been a very difficult time for her knowing that one of her babies is so sick and has to go through this. We all appreciate your support, love, and prayers. We have faith in God and strongly believe in His healing powers and prayer.
