Support Shana's Recovery

Nicole Birkholzer has helped so many of us deepen our relationships with the animals we love by being more mindful.  She is a gifted teacher, communicator and translator - a modern day Dr. Doolittle who helps us understand not only our animals, but ourselves.   

Shana, Nicole's spirit horse, spent nine days at Tufts in June where she had surgery to remove a paranasal sinus cyst from her maxillary and front sinuses.  Shana's veterinary care to date has cost Nicole more than $8000.  Yesterday, due to complications and infection, Nicole returned Shana to Tufts for more care.
