Support Shana and Her Cats After House Fire

On Friday, March 21, 2025, a fire erupted in the laundry room of Shana Watson’s home in Lincoln City, Oregon. Within minutes, smoke made the upstairs a blinding, suffocating wall with no visibility. Shana was forced to leave her home without being able to save her pets.
The amazing firefighters on the Oregon coast got the fire under control and rescued the cats. They were under veterinary care from Friday until Wednesday. Steve, Minnie, and Meekus got to come home today, but there's a very large vet bill that came with them. Their survival is amazing and worth every penny.
While Shana has always said, “Stuff is stuff, you can always get more stuff,” there isn't enough money to get all of the stuff needed. Being disabled is accompanied by low income, so all of this stuff is harder to get. The entire upstairs area was destroyed by fire, sprinkler systems, and the firefighters doing their job to put the flames out. And once again, there is so much gratitude for the safety of everyone affected, but everything in the upstairs area is going to be destroyed. There is nothing to salvage - that was the area with the bedrooms.
In putting things together, the basics are bedding, bathroom items, and clothes. There will be some things from the kitchen that can be salvaged, but most things were affected by water or smoke.
I don't know what to ask for. How do you put a dollar amount on everything you've ever owned? It all seems to be too much and too little, regardless of the number. So the goal isn't the intent, just starting life again.
Thank you.
