I am Sharika, the sister of Shamika Bowles. Shamika is a 35 year old single, hard working mom. She always puts her kids first. Shamika never misses time from work. She is a very selfless person. But unfortunately, on November 25th 2025, she was rushed to Southside Community Hospital because she lost feeling on her right side, and her speech was slurred. Two days later she was rushed to the ICU where she was told that she had a mini stroke and 2 seizures along with a blood clot on the side of her brain. Later that morning she was transferred to UVA hospital to be treated, she was there for 1 week then was transferred to a rehab center in Lynchburg. She was there only a week before she was released to come home. She was informed that she can't return to work for 6 more months and has a long road ahead of her. She has to continue to do outpatient therapy..At this time we ask for donations to help her with any bills and medical costs. Thank you and God Bless!!
