My name is Taya, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart for my 25-year-old brother, Shamar, who was recently diagnosed with leukemia, a battle no one is ever prepared for, especially someone as full of life and love as he is.

Shamar is so much more than this illness. He’s a vibrant soul who loves life, a kind-hearted person who is always there for others, and someone who finds joy in lifting those around him. He has always been the rock for so many of us, and now he needs us to be his.
