Hello PAT Family,

I wanted to share a little bit about Shamarra’s journey with her twins, Tessa and Titus:

Shamarra was expecting twins, but due to unforeseen complications affecting both her and the babies, she had to undergo an emergency C-section at just 25 weeks on April 16th.

Both she and the twins were recovering well, and Tessa and Titus were being cared for in the NICU. As of April 23rd, at two weeks old (27 weeks gestational age), little Tessa weighed 1 lb 7 oz, and Titus weighed 1 lb 15 oz. They were making progress every day, though they still had a long road ahead.

It is with deep sadness that I share that Tessa, one of Shamarra’s precious twins, passed away on Sunday, May 4th, 2025.

With the unexpected loss of her beautiful daughter, Shamarra and her family are now facing unforeseen expenses. To help with medical bills and funeral costs, I’ve created a GoFundMe on their behalf.
