Support ShaMariah & Daughter’s Urgent Relocation

ShaMariah “Ariah” Jeffers is a young single mother facing wrongful eviction from her complex, Rosemont Berkeley Lake with TitanCorp. Ms. Jeffers and her minor daughter have been faithful tenants for over seven years. Her daughter grew up here.

In March 2024, ShaMariah Jeffers’ home suffered a termite infestation. The complex hired a contractor who tore down large sections in the walls to access the sewage system. The complex’s failure to repair the termite damage caused Ms. Jeffers and her minor daughter to breathe in toxic waste from the exposed sewage system for six months.

Ms. Jeffers has fought to save her home, but corporate has offered no resolution. In August 2024, leasing agent Leslye Turriza increased Ms. Jeffers' rent from $1,236 to over $4,000. In response to Ms. Jeffers’ numerous unanswered calls and emails to corporate, pleading to keep her home, leasing agent Leslye Turriza filed unsubstantiated claims to wrongfully evict Ms. Jeffers and her minor daughter out of their home.

Ms. Jeffers is highly asthmatic and was put on medical leave from work for six months. While on medical leave, Ms. Jeffers lost 40 percent of her pay. Due to financial hardship, Ms. Jeffers and her minor daughter have limited resources to move into a new home.
