My name is Shamari Cyrus, and I’m raising funds to pursue my dream of becoming an attorney.
I recently graduated with Distinction (3.5GPA) from the University of Guyana with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and also earned a Certificate in Advocacy and Evidence for Summary Court Prosecutors with a 4.0 GPA. After years of dedication, sacrifice, and hard work, I’ve been accepted to the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago to pursue the Legal Education Certificate (LEC) — the final and most essential stage in qualifying to practise law in the Caribbean.
This moment is a proud one, but also a humbling challenge.
The total cost including tuition, room and board and basic living expenses is approximately USD $50,000 over the two-year programme. Despite exploring various options and contributing as much as I can personally, I am still in need of support to take this next step.
That’s why I’ve created this campaign — to ask for your help in making this dream a reality.
No amount is too small. Every contribution will go directly toward my tuition, room and board and basic living expenses. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this with your network would mean just as much.
