Help My Family Rebuild After the Storm in Jamaica

Hello everyone,

I am Shakia Bruce. As many of you know, Jamaica has just been devastated by a catastrophic storm. My heart is especially heavy because my family is from Montego Bay, one of the hardest-hit areas. My husband is from Saint Elizabeth, another parish that has been completely destroyed. Several of my loved ones have lost everything — their homes are completely underwater, and they will have to rebuild and restart.

While there will be some government assistance, there will be a need for other necessities. Our family members are left without homes, jobs, and basic necessities. My husband and I are planning to travel to Jamaica as soon as this coming week to personally help our families and neighbors begin the long road to recovery.

Your support will go directly toward providing essentials like clothing, food, and household items. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference our family members who are struggling to start over.

Please also be aware that scams are circulating. This fundraiser is only for my immediate family in Montego Bay and my husband’s family in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. The funds will be managed and distributed by me personally to ensure they reach those in true need.
