Shaina Irizarry and family have entered a time period of preparation for the departure of her beloved father, who will soon enter the kingdom of heaven.

Throughout this end-of-life period, the Lord has offered provision surrounding their grief and miraculous moments in the midst of their suffering. Although as believers in Christ, they do not mourn as those with no hope, saying our earthly goodbyes is likely the hardest experience of our human condition.

In an effort to allow the family to focus their attention on this important task and to be fully present for the duration of his time here, this GoFundMe is designed to begin funding for the costs of the funeral and other related expenses. This presents an opportunity for extended family and friends to love and serve them in a very impactful way. May this family be blessed as they have blessed others. Hello dear ones! In addition to your prayers and all the love coming our way, many of you have asked how you can help my Dad or our family during this season.

We wholeheartedly appreciate you!

If you're able, and have it on your heart, in lieu of things like flowers or meals, you could contribute to helping us fund his burial expenses.

It's his earnest desire to be buried in Poway, at the Dearborn cemetery. All in all, this is projected to cost about $12,000. He's not looking for fancy; it's just always been important to him, personally, to be buried instead of cremated.

Dearborn is near where we lived and went to church at CLA, and it's very close to his/our now church family at Park Church. As a bonus, it's also across the street from the Rodeo grounds where he knows we volunteer every year.

Any potential leftover funds will go to upgrading the food, refreshments, and flowers at his Life Memorial Party on May 3rd.
