Help Me Get to My Kidney Transplant

Hello everyone,

My name is Shaikesha, and I’m asking for your help as I continue fighting for a second chance at life.

I have end-stage kidney disease and depend on dialysis three times a week to stay alive while I wait for a kidney transplant.

My transplant journey has been incredibly difficult. During a catheter replacement performed by a vascular surgeon before I moved back to Arkansas, my heart was punctured. This caused serious complications and significantly reduced my heart’s ejection fraction and overall heart function. As a result, I lost my opportunity to receive a kidney transplant through the Memphis transplant program.

Since returning to Conway, I have been working hard to rebuild my health. I have followed my doctors’ recommendations, continued dialysis, and taken every step possible to improve my heart function. I’m grateful to now be back on the transplant list in Little Rock, and I am determined not to lose this opportunity.

Right now, one of my biggest challenges is simply getting to dialysis three times each week. Reliable transportation is essential to keeping me healthy enough to remain eligible for a transplant, but the cost of transportation has become overwhelming.

I’m asking for your help. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go toward transportation to dialysis and other transplant-related expenses that will help me stay on track for the kidney transplant I’ve been praying for.
