It is with a heavy heart to say that our loved one has been called home this past weekend. Muhammad Shafi Lawrence was a son, a brother, a cousin, an uncle, a nephew, and a father. He was intelligent and beautiful in his own way, and for those in the community who understood him, we thank you.

On Saturday, November 15th at around 9pm, Shafi was struck by a speeding car as he attempted to cross Peter’s Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem, NC, and passed away at the scene. The grief and shock that follows this news has been unbearable and we are trying our very best to navigate this unimaginable loss.
