Hi! My name is Liz, and I'm starting this fundraiser to help my friend Shadi. We are the same age, yet have completely different circumstances. While I am at school or hanging out with friends, he is struggling to make ends meet, providing for his family and trying to survive. One geological change and we could've switched lives, but this is what we have now, and everyone deserves a future. This is Shadi Qaddih's story.

Shadi and his family have endured difficult times with patience, but the current situation is truly catastrophic. Since late March, all thirteen members of Shadi's family (himself, his parents, his siblings, his brother-in-law, and his nephews) have been displaced from their village of Khuza'a and are living in dire conditions. His father is imprisoned.

The nights are cold and rainy, and the days are getting hotter. The borders have been closed for three weeks, and no food, water, medicine, machinery, shelter, or supplies have entered.

Thanks to your support, Shadi was able to buy a new tent for his family. However, they still need wood and nylon to build a makeshift bathroom, water for drinking and cleaning, firewood for cooking and heating, flour, vegetables, and other food items.
