Next “Steps” for Ongoing Medical “Needs” of my son

July 10, 2024 multiple surgeries to save life and put back together.

January 9, 2025. Additional extensive corrective surgery with bone transplant and complete hip replacement

January 31, 2025 Additional surgery to reopen and flush out area to clear infection.

My son, Shad Carlile, as a passenger in a vehicle, was in a life threatening, life altering car accident on July 10, 2024. Being ejected 150 ft from a fast- moving vehicle that rolled multiple times caused his body to be badly broken and pulled apart; hip bone torn out of the socket and a broken femur, dislocated and broken shoulder, shattered pelvis, broken ribs etc. and he underwent surgeries and blood transfusion to bring it back together to begin the healing process. So thankful he is alive and will eventually walk again! We have been told by the surgeon this healing process will take close to a year+ before he can bear his complete weight on his feet. His shattered pelvis was unable to be repaired due to the severity of other injuries. We believe in the Lord for complete healing and restoration to his body, soul and spirit before that date! By His stripes we are healed!

Since the driver was uninsured all the medical expenses and cost of living, housing etc. are on private pay. This has been very taxing both emotionally and financially on family members. Shad is unable to contribute financially to his needs due to his injuries and inability to work for a very long extended period of time. He is in a very needy position both physically and financially.

Being bedridden and wheelchair bound makes it necessary for ongoing medical care, supervision and housing. At present he is in a medically assisted group home to receive that care. The expenses continue to mount daily. We need financial help! He has applied for aid with several entities but so far been denied because of his age and he’s a male. 

Trying to deal with this from long distance has had numerous challenges both practically and financially. Let’s get Shad back on his feet! Any contribution toward financial assistance is much needed and appreciated for his ongoing care. Let’s get the word out there. Get Shad back on his feet!
