My name is Sha Griff. I am raising funds for my only child to continue her college success at Virginia State University. With funding for education decreasing and grants being eliminated for HBCUs, this year will be harder to maneuver. I was able to pay her portion last year according to my budget, but unfortunately, this year, that number has exceeded what I am able to do. We've reached out to many avenues for assistance, but this was the last resort for help. Let me help you understand why I feel the need to make sure my daughter completes her education. She was born at 1 lb 3 oz, and we were told she would never be able to live as a normal child. She would have tons of health issues and learning disabilities. God's plan was nothing even close to that. She has excelled academically and has been nothing but a blessing to me. I want her to continue to beat the odds and excel when others say she can't.

The goal is to receive a scholarship next year, 2026, as she is working to maintain a 3.5 GPA.
