Support Sgt. Hunter Ferst's Road to Recovery
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and hopeful spirit to ask for your support during the most difficult chapter of our lives.
On Monday, April 28th, my fiancé, Sgt. Hunter Ferst, collided with a bus on his motorcycle. In an instant, our lives were turned upside down. He suffered many injuries and has already undergone extensive surgeries and treatments, with more to come. He is currently facing a long, uncertain road to recovery.
Anyone who knows Hunter knows the kind of person he is: compassionate, selfless, hardworking, and always ready to lend a hand to others. Now, he’s the one who needs your help.
The medical costs are mounting rapidly—hospital stays, surgeries, physical therapy, follow-up appointments, and the equipment he’ll need to regain independence.
In addition, Hunter owns his home and has all of the typical monthly expenses. He will be unable to work once he leaves the hospital to continue his recovery, leaving us with financial strain that is more than we can manage alone.
We ask for your help to ease this financial burden so that Hunter can focus on healing. Every dollar will go directly toward his care—covering medical bills, therapy costs, medications, and essential expenses so that after his recovery, he can return to the life that was left prior to this horrific collision.
Whether through a donation or simply sharing our story, your generosity will bring us one step closer to the day he can talk, stand, walk, and smile again.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, supporting, and keeping us in your thoughts. Your kindness means more than words can express.
With gratitude and hope,
Makenzie Mariano
